Memories not so blurry from the days of my school remind me to what we use to treat as discipline - coming to classes on time, struggling to open the eyes early in the morning, being regular on the attendance front, doing homework on time, not to let go even a smallest of chance to chit-chat with friends when the teachers use to go to library to get replacement for an empty chalk-box, staying out late during the recess breaks.
During the days of my college, I use to think that those days will never come back and I use to miss these memories of mine. I was completely taken aback as I realized in recent times that exact same things are getting repeated in my day to day corporate life, only this time I am hating them. A seven ante-meridian wake up and an eight ante-meridian train catching routine starts my day only to end it at twelve thirty ante-meridian with an exasperated body that wants nothing but best of sleeps. My dad says that you don’t sleep properly, as if I don’t know that and I do it with whole and sole intention. The routine and the monotonous life leaches out the fun and gives an agonizingly stupid fatigue. The off the hook fact about this is that everyone curses it but is readily following it, giving an excuse that they are content. I mean seriously, I commute in a Mumbai local for 4-5 hours daily, to and fro, trust me on that not a single person (including me) is there who does not have a nagging issue about his job or his colleague or his boss or the office peon or his work-station or his working desk or the coffee/tea vending machine. A corporate dude wants everything picture perfect and why shouldn’t he get it, the fucker is working his arse out, he deserves it. Every company fails to give what every employee wants. No, not even IT giants like Google/Microsoft/Apple get a clean sheet on that, they are just kept as those dreamt-off work places so that at least one has something to compare to. It is in humanistic behavior that needs and wants are always misunderstood. Neither the employees nor the companies follow the rights and the duties concept but people like him and me (P.S.: I didn’t use ‘people like you’… hopefully you must be doing good and not nagging about anything) are the ones who get stuck in the vicious circle of a corporation and its working, nevertheless we have to again be content.
The crap of taxes and their exemption, loans and EMIs’, utility bills and that ‘douche’ credit-card, even after this utter crap, a him-and-me like person tries to maintain the balance between them and being happy. The so called common man, when you look at him from far looks like a ‘come-on’ man. Hard-Work is giving a rented flat and a second-hand car but not peace. A workaholic turns into an alcoholic, no wonder after all it’s the peace that matters, isn’t it? If you are happy at what you are doing re-think my dear friend, be practical and after that if again you are happy knowing that what you were doing actually makes you happy good for you. Now just think that why a B.Tech holder is going for M.Tech or some exam like CAT, DOG, DONKEY or what not. Only 5-10% of them are willing to learn more, rests want just to be in the better pay-scales. Again everything boils down to where this all started for a ‘come-on’ man being in the corporate world and surviving like a slave.
Ignore my ignorance for talking and giving my retorts on such a “sensitive issue” only if you think this is nonsense and if you think that what I jotted down is meaningful then have fun thinking on you being a slave that too with ‘corporate’ being your adjective.

sooo true kt ... i mean yes ... we work like slaves.. we clear exams .. we do all sort of crap .. but what is the outcome??? ... n the bonding b/w us n them is never understood .. the needs n wants are mismatched.. at times we even go beyond our limits .. just because we are pushed that hard .. n we have no other option .. we are machines .. badly treated machines by the corporates ...n why dont they remember that we are living organisms .. we have a life n we need a life ...yes, we need a life which has fun peace joy love ... but they dont get this ... just coz for them all the 'come-on' man is nothing but a slave ... if one will go.. other will come
